Background
- Observing tool wear and other conditions usually requires a stereo microscope, as well as an optical measuring device to numerically measure the amount of wear. Optical measuring devices are large, heavy, and inconvenient to carry, so careful consideration of the installation location is required in advance.
- There was a need for a simple and inexpensive device that could easily observe the shape and wear status of cutting edges when observing tools.
